Set up your news watchlist and alert channels
Match news to your symbols and see which alert channels your level allows.
- Step 1
Open the page
In the panel open "More", then press "Market News" under "Trading tools".

Check the watchlist chip
The page opens on the "Latest" tab; under the tabs sits the "Watchlist" section, chipped "On", "Off" or "Not available".

Upgrade if it is locked
"Not available" means your level lacks the watchlist; "See levels" opens "My Plan", and the editor does not open at all until you upgrade.

Open the editor
Press "Edit watchlist".

Turn matching on
Tick "Match news against my watchlist".

Add your symbols
Under "Symbols", type a symbol into the "e.g. XAUUSD" box and press "Add symbol" or Enter; "Level allowance" shows how much of your quota is in use.

Choose the topics
Under "Topics", pick the event types you care about.

Set the alert threshold
Under "Alert threshold", pick the impact levels; only events at those levels send an alert.

Save it
Press "Save watchlist"; the editor closes and a confirmation appears.

Read the matched feed
The "My watchlist" tab shows only news that matches your watchlist.

Check your alert channels
At the page foot, "Alert channels" marks each channel "Available" or "Not available"; "Notification settings" opens delivery settings.
Result
News is matched against your own symbols, and the "My watchlist" tab shows only those items. "Alert channels" tells you which channels your current level can use for alerts.
